ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Waterloo) receives “Thank You” card from Kingsley Elementary School for continued partnership

The patients and residents at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (Waterloo, IA) continue to receive cards, decorated placemats and tie blankets from the students at Kingsley Elementary School since the pandemic. In return, the patients and residents have made the students Halloween candy bags. This companionship between Kingsley and ProMedica help bring joy and satisfaction to everyone. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the students would come in and do activities with residents and employees.
Mrs. Wagenhofer, a kindergarten teacher with Kingsley, shared, "The staff and students at Kingsley Elementary School are so grateful for the amazing support of our community members, like ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation (formerly ManorCare)! Many different local businesses in the community have partnered with local elementary schools as official ‘Partners in Education’. At the beginning of this new school year, kindergarten students drew pictures as a way of saying ‘thank you’ and we can't wait to see how our partnership continues to grow!"
