ProMedica Hospice Receives Generous Donation from Local Organization

ProMedica Hospice Serving Northwest Ohio was grateful to receive a generous $10,000 donation from the Fraternal Order of Eagles #712 of Fremont. The Eagles organization has a long history of raising funds to support hospice services provided to patients and their families in the region. ProMedica Hospice senior administrator, Ann Wright, celebrated this generosity recently with representative Eagles Denny, Bob, Ken and Dan and Eagle Auxilians, Linda and Peggy. Peggy is also a part of the ProMedica Hospice care team.

Also pictured are Melanie Maraugha and Tara O’Rourke from the ProMedica Foundation. While COVID-19 precautions limited the number of attendees to help celebrate the long history of generosity amongst the organizations, those present shared stories of how the ongoing financial assistance supports patient and family needs.

The funds will be used to support care and services provided to patients receiving hospice care, such as honoring last wishes, supporting family and caregiver transitions, celebrating veterans, hosting memorial services, elevating the educational knowledge of the hospice team to better serve patients, as well as other relevant uses. Both organizations are deeply rooted in the community and hope to continue to work together, potentially collaborating on a memorial service soon.
