National Home Health and Hospice Month

November is National Home Health and Hospice Month and we are joining thousands of home health and hospice agencies across America to honor the millions of nurses, home care aides, therapists and social workers who make a remarkable difference for the patients and families they serve.
Providing care to patients in their homes is a privilege to us. Patients are usually most comfortable at home surrounded by family and friends who give them the support they need to cope. Throughout this month, we will recognize the contributions of the professionals and volunteers who make home care possible for those recovering from surgery or illness. Our approach to caring addresses our patients’ and their families’ physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs. We promise to provide care that is comforting and compassionate; to respect patient and family choices; to unite with community partners in care; and to be accepting and supportive of patients wherever they are in life’s journey.
We have planned various events and activities across the country that will take place throughout November in an attempt to educate the public about the benefits of home care and hospice and to share information on searching for quality care. They will also discuss the right time to consider hospice care for a loved one.
To help us celebrate this month and attend a planned event, contact one of our home health or hospice agencies. To find a hospice agency nearest you, click here. To find a home health agency nearest you, click here.
We would like to salute our caring team, as well as our volunteers, for the support, companionship and compassionate help they provide. We are proud of our team and volunteers for enriching the lives of our patients and families every day. Thank you!
