“While I was out doing errands, I was in a car accident. I was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center where I had a trach and feeding tube put in. Following the hospital stay I was unable to return home right away, so my daughter chose ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Libertyville, IL for me to go to for short-term rehab before I returned home. My pulmonologist, Dr. Hoffman, came to ProMedica to cap the trach, which made it easier to move forward with my rehab in the gym. I have made great strides while at ProMedica from having therapy in my room to being able to have therapy in the gym. Pam, my therapist, deserves recognition for all her hard work and dedication.
