Mother and Daughter Thankful for Home Health and Hospice Care Teams

Working in hospice takes a strong will, a full heart and plenty of compassion. When that compassion reaches our patients’ families, that's when we know we have truly lived out our Mission. Heartland Hospice serving Wichita recently received a testimonial from Sonja, the daughter of hospice patient Mary Beth, citing the compassionate care Heartland provides to Mary Beth and the family:

“Mom was recently receiving home health care from Heartland before going to the hospital. Once she left the hospital and completed post-hospital rehabilitation, the decision was made for her to receive hospice care. Mom wanted to stay with Heartland because she trusted them. It’s great that Heartland offers both home health and hospice care within one agency. Heartland has done a phenomenal job. Whenever I call them, our needs are immediately met and I do not need to continue to make follow-up phone calls, and I greatly appreciate that. I trust things will happen in a timely manner and the Heartland team will uphold their promises! Mom and I appreciate everything the Heartland teams have done for us and she really likes her nurse, Lynette. It is great to have comfort and peace of mind. Having Heartland Hospice care for Mom allows her to be at home and comfortable. She is able to see her grandchildren, her friends and family, and she is able to cherish memories with all of her loved ones.” – Sonja, Mary Beth’s Daughter
