ProMedica Hospice Patient's Heart's Desire Fulfilled with Helicopter Ride
ProMedica Hospice serving Northwest Ohio worked with ProMedica Air and Mobile to help make their terminally ill patient, Nathan Herb’s, Heart’s Desire come true.
Nate always had a fascination with helicopters and shared his story with his hospice team. When he was younger, his family lived by ProMedica Memorial Hospital and whenever a helicopter took flight, he and his brother would run outside to watch. As he got older, Nate worked at ProMedica Memorial Hospital as a greeter.
“We are taking a flight on a helicopter through hospice. It’s always been something I wanted to do,” said Nate.
“It means a lot because when you’re down to the last parts of your life, those things that can bring you a little bit of joy you really need those moments so it’s always good to take advantage of that, so I’m glad I got to do that and people were gracious enough to make it happen, so…I’m really glad, it was really fun and I’m glad I did it.”
